When I was twelve, I decided I wanted to become two things when I grew up:
a writer and a teacher. I’m blessed to have the opportunity to be both!
I love “talking shop” with kids, parents and teachers. And as an
experienced speaker and teacher, I offer a variety of workshops. Please know
that if you don’t see something you like, I’m always happy to tailor
my workshops to meet your or your students’ needs or interests.

Egypt

students learn about the amazing people of ancient Egypt. Teachers
may choose from a variety of topics: pyramids, mummies, daily life,
hieroglyphs or a combination. Students will also have time to ask
questions about writing and publishing. Instructions for a “build
it yourself” project are provided as well extended learning
guides.

Writer’s
Club
In this workshop, students will have a chance to
spend the afternoon engaged in the writing process. Choose from
a variety of writing workshops: finding ideas, revising, writing
a great opening, developing characters or any other topic that you
choose. (Activities are from my books Writing Club and Writing Club
